On December 14, 2016, former Sojo Circle dedicant Eric MacAfee was not permitted to complete our Modern Witchcraft 366 program for various reasons, but he remained in good standing with the Sojo Tribe.
However, on January 3, 2019, it was brought to our attention that he was arrested on October 4, 2017 in Seaside Heights, NJ for “multiple felony charges of Dissemination of Child Pornography, Sexual Abuse of Children/Child Pornography and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility” He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30-60 months in jail following drug, alcohol and psychosexual risk assessment evaluations. His sentencing occurred in October 2018. He also must complete 5 years of probation after he is paroled, and he will have to report his address as a sex offender for 25 years.
The Sojo Circle is a family friendly community and does NOT promote or condone this behavior. Eric’s expulsion was unrelated to these activities and occurred well before any of this information came to our attention. Eric MacAfee is no longer considered in good standing within our community and has been removed from the Sojo Tribe.
